IS CHRISTINA ABLE TO COACH ME?
Yes, I work with parents by phone both nationally and internationally. Coaching by phone can range from a one-time session to deal with specific issues to working with me for a longer period of time. Although most of my work focuses on dealing with divorce related issues,  I also coach parents facing significant life transitions and help them to find both focus and purpose that leads to  creating a life you love.

More about working with me.

HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
Once a request form is received, I’ll contact you by email to set up a 30-minute complimentary consultation. Initial consultations are free of charge so you can find out what’s it’s like to work with me, decide if I’m the right coach for you  and how our working together can help turn things around for you and your kids.

While the process is a little different for each person, in general, once you decide to work with me, we’ll schedule a time to meet by phone. Before your first coaching session, I’ll ask you for some additional information and to identify two or three primary issues.  This information allows me to spend more time on helping you create solutions and gain insight verses going over background details.

IF YOU LIVE IN THE US
Once we schedule a time, I’ll send you a confirmation email and details about your upcoming session.  To avoid confusion, I  schedule all appointments in your time zone so please be sure to let me know where you live.

On the day, you will call me.  The clock starts ticking at your appointed time, so do your best to be available and on time for the call.

FOR INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
Parents outside of the US, I will provide you with a number for the call. If you do not have an international calling plan,  please let me know and we can work out alternate arrangements.

All payments for sessions are processed via PAYPAL and billed in USD.

IS COACHING A FORM OF THERAPY AND DOES IT REPLACE SEEING OTHER PROFESSIONALS?

While getting help with tough problems can feel therapeutic,  coaching is not a form of therapy or a substitute for seeing a mental health professional. Although I have a very diverse background my  coaching services are not designed to deal with therapeutic issues or provide legal advice.

During our sessions,  if I  feel you have additional needs I cannot address I  will work with you to find resources that can help. It’s important to understand that coaching sessions are not a “cure all” but rather a means of getting back on track. Sessions are interactive and used to clarify issues while helping you build the skills you need to get it right for your kids.

IS COACHING COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Unfortunately coaching is not a professional service that is covered by insurance. If you finances are currently limited and you would like to work with me, please get in touch. I understand how financially draining divorce can be.  Because I truly want parents who are motivated to divorce with integrity to have help,  I devote a percentage of my practice to lower fee clients.  Bottom line, I’m willing to be creative if you are willing to do the work.

CAN CHRISTINA PERSONALLY ANSWER MY QUESTIONS BY EMAIL?

Due to the significant number of emails I receive, I’m not able to personally answer every parent question that hits my inbox. If you would like to submit a general  question,  feel free to drop my facebook page and tap into our wise community of parents.

If you have a question about coaching that isn’t covered here,  please email me at info@divorceandchildren.com .
